Consistent with areas of professional responsibility, it is useful to identify four fundamental principles of multi-hazard building design:
1. Plan for Fire Protection – Planning for fire protection for a building involves a systems approach that enables the designer to analyze all of the building's components as a total building fire safety system package.
2. Ensure Occupant Safety and Health – Some injuries and illnesses are related to unsafe or unhealthy building design and operation. These can usually be prevented by measures that take into account issues such as indoor air quality, electrical safety, fall protection, ergonomics, and accident prevention.
3. Resist Natural Hazards – Each year U.S. taxpayers pay over $35 billion for recovery efforts, including repairing damaged buildings and infrastructure, from the impacts of hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, tornados, blizzards, and other natural disasters. A significant percentage of this could be saved if our buildings properly anticipated the risk associated with major natural hazards.
4. Provide Security for Building Occupants and Assets – Effective secure building design involves implementing countermeasures to deter, detect, delay, and respond to attacks from human aggressors. It also provides for mitigating measures to limit hazards and prevent catastrophic damage should an attack occur.
The above information must be considered together with other design objectives and within a total project context in order to achieve quality, high performance buildings.

I do alot of "light" loads from New Jersey to Toronto. The average weight of my load is about 8000 lbs plus the weight of the tractor about 15000 lbs plus the weight of the trailer is about 15000 lbs.
I have a 2000 Volvo with a 425 hp volvo engine and a 13 speed tranny with no overdrive gear, I've got a bit of a heavy foot but I can average 7.2 mpg. Other things that can vary that besides my heavy foot are; wind, rain and cold. All of which can bring the average down.

A funnel cannot be used to fill up a water balloon unless you only wish to put a ounce of fluid in there without the balloon expanding. What you need to do is to fill up a water bottle with the fluid, inflate the balloon and put the mouthpiece over the bottle opening. Tip the bottle upside down to permit the fluid to enter the balloon. Pinch the neck of the balloon and disconnect the balloon from the bottle. Let off excess air and tie the balloon. If the substance is too viscous to transfer from a bottle, use a large syringe to force it in there. If that does not work, you need to expand as much as possible the mouthpiece of the balloon to fit the substance in there. Try using a vacuum cleaner attachment. I did not yet see your first question, but I sincerely hope you are not putting objectionable fluids in water balloons to throw at someone. I am wondering what viscous substances you have in mind? I hope its Jello brand gelatin.

We run a bio-wheel type filter on all of our tanks. We rinse our filters under the kitchen faucet every day. When we get the taank overcrowded the filters don't last as long. Also, adding an undergravel filter will help a lot. You will only need to clean this once a year.
