Some tractors have a rototiller attachment, try to contact the place where you bought it. It may cost you more than you expect. You can also buy a small tiller to work by hand,but for such a small garden I would just use a shovel.

I dont suggest using Fram oil filters – Ive had a couple bad ones ( the bypass in the filter made the truck sound like it had a bad set of lifters- when it never did before i changed it).
Actually, if its possible try for a larger filter – you can never have enough oil filtering. Many are undersized anyways. If possible – take the tractor to an autoparts store and see what size filter could work on it.

take the battery to autozone, walmart or some other major autoparts store and ask them to put it on their battery tester. or you can buy a 12 volt multimeter and tast it your self. 2 yrs is about right for a lawnmower battery to start showing signs of going bad though.
